She first made an appearance as a director in the short film THE GOD WHO SEEKS, starring Nicole C. Mullen. They co-wrote the soundtrack in the film. Gifford has a number of charitable organizations for children which include Childhelp and the Association to Benefit Children. They gave birth to Cassidy's Place and Cody House both of which were named in honor of her children. Her efforts to help others in the field of labor relations have earned the honorary degree of doctor at Marymount University.

Sage Steele works as an American sports journalist for ESPN Sports Network. She is also the anchor of SportsCenter, at 12 midday ET. Sage Steele also shares this position together with Matt Bari.
