Richard B. Cheney is an American public servant, businessman and politician. Cheney has been a prominent person in Washington over the years. George W. Bush was the president of the 4th generation to whom he served. Bush selected Cheney during the summer of 2000 as his vice-presidential running mate, being impressed by Cheney's intelligence and judgement. Dick Cheney, who served in the United States as secretary and chief of staff in the administration of a president, as well as within Congress has been a great serving our country. Republicans and Democrats alike admire Cheney due to his sincerity. Cheney declares that he's a discreet but honest advisor to Bush within his administration. Cheney has stated in accepting his appointment as Republican vice president that he would like to be a president candidate who will cooperate cross-partisanally and in a manner of respect and in a common goal. Richard Bruce Cheney (born January 30th, 1941) was the son of Richard Herbert Cheney. His mother, Marjorie Lauraine Dickey had been engaged with Richard Herbert Cheney for over 30 years. In 1941, when Richard Bruce Cheney was 13, he and his family moved from Lincoln Nebraska to Casper Wyoming which is where his father headed Casper Wyoming, where his father was the director of U.S. Department of Agriculture's regional conservation districts.
